Board Policies

5a Personnel Records Privacy Policy – Policy that makes clear that no personnel shall offer information, including referrals or employment verifications, to third parties about any past or current employees without express written approval from the administration.

5b Employee Technology Policy – Policy that makes clear what is acceptable when it comes to technology and internet use by employees and students at our school.

5c Mandated Child Abuse Reporting Policy – Policy that acknowledges penal code that all school employees are mandated reporters and must report suspected child maltreatment immediately when they have reasonable suspicion to believe that a child who is 17 years of age or younger and known to them in a professional or official capacity has been harmed or is in danger of being harmed – physically, sexually, or through neglect – and that a caregiver either committed the harm or should have taken steps to prevent the child from harm. It also acknowledges that the school must provide annual training on this policy.

5d Cell Phone Search & Seizure Policy – Policy declaring that school staff has the ability to search and seize cell phones when there is reasonable suspicion that a law or school policy has been violated.
5c Bullying Prevention Board Policy Board policy that defines bullying, broadly talks about intervention, complaints and investigation and possible disciplinary measures for those students who engage in bullying.
5d Bullying Prevention & Conflict Resolution School Policy School site policy that discusses the role and responsibilities of teachers and students in regards to codes of conduct and identifying instances of bullying. It also describes the school’s responsibility for training and creating awareness.
5e Hazing Prevention Policy Describes and differentiates hazing from bullying and gives tangible examples as guidance for students and teachers. This policy also lays out a step-by-step process from reporting to investigation to school actions and parent notification.
